Our Mathematical World

About a decade ago National Geographic published a series of 60 books titled "Our Mathematical World".  Having one of my undergraduate degrees in Mathematics, I found these books fascinating. Unfortunately, they were only issued in the United Kingdom. The postage for my set was slightly less than the cost of the books!No.Title1  The Golden Ratio: The mathematical language of beauty 2  Mathematicians, Spies and Hackers: Coding and cryptography 3  Prime Numbers: A long road to infinity 4  When…See More

Previously Unknown Article Reprint

I have come across what I believe to be a previously unknown article reprint. It is from Volume 2, Number 2 (February 7, 1890). Its title is "A Critical Review of Bering's First Expedition, 1725-30". I have attached a photograph of its cover.See More

How exactly could I help you?

Good morning,

I am trully sorry for giving you a false hope. Since many years I sign the magazine in portuguese, and every time I travel for some months, when I return if some magazine is not in great condition I call to the editor and ask them to send me a new one.

Because of that I always new that they had old magazine for sale and was easy to resolve the problem.

t happens one year ag they dicided to destroy all the old magazines they used to have and with out saying anything to any one.

I called them and there is no more magazines from the date you asked.

I tried to see in palces where they sell old magazines and nathing. Not in the condition you and i collect.

I am trully sorry for giving you a false hope.

Best regards

antonio

Hi Richard,

Thanks for your message earlier this month. I'd love to do a short phone or email interview with you about your collecting of National Geographics. May I send you an email to tell you about the assignment in a little more detail? Thanks very much!
