Prices are sky high, but it's a well organized site with good pictures of what's in stock. Don't know if the pictures reflect the actual product.…Continue

National Geographics for 20 cents each (1950 - present)

The bookstore at the Wheaton Library in Maryland sells National Geographics for 25 cents each (20 cents for 5 or more) back to 1950. Before 1950 they are 50 cents each, but those issues are in fair…Continue

NG: 1909-2022

I'm now adding a second row of NGs to the 4th bookcase. There are 8.5 years per shelf. I have 4 years left to finish the second shelf and then I'll be 63. After that, 4 more shelves or 34 years, but I don't think I'll make it to 97 :-)

I found a home for my duplicate 20's 30's 40's and 50's. Why am I still here?
About Me:
I've been a lifetime member since 1976 and my collection goes back to 1909. But I'm missing a lot of supplements! However, I have printed out an 8.5 x 11" from the internet to see what I'm missing.

No, I'm sorry I don't know Ross Englehart. Nice picture of your collection. It is a labor of love, isn't it? Mel

My oldest is Vol 1, No. 3, July 1889. I'm missing about 100 of the oldest magazines; my loose issue collection is complete from Jan 1905 to present. My bound collection is complete from 1900 through 1995, though my 1902 bound volume is missing both maps (January issue) and I also have the complete bound Volume III. I have spoken with a couple of guys who both have a complete collection, and one other fella here in Maryland missing only three of four magazines - something I'll most likely never attain, but it doesn't hurt to dream!

Here's Another Old Comment page! I see we've talked before!

I'm happy to give away my duplicates to someone that is still collecting. I'm not sure there's that many left now that there is free access on the web.

Thanks Keith.  I love studying maps and learning about history, so I am enjoying copying these old maps.  I'm glad you like them too.  You have an impressive collection. I too have collected the supplement maps back as far as I can but only to c1913.  Like you, I am having the others printed.  What company do you use; maptrove.com, art.com, or maps.com perhaps?  Or do you make a jpg and send it to Walgreens?  Happy collecting!  Bill
