"Dalton, It took me 45 years to collect the full set; though I was down to just two original issues needed for the last nine years, and only one issue for the last five years. Two caveats: First, in the early years of my collecting I was not as well…"

"Yeah Mel,  I looked up the December 1902 issue and there is no tidy sum total member qty. indicated, though the alphabatized listing by state) is there . . . one would have to manually count the names. - Scott"

"Thank you for that information, Mr. Vilbiss. One has to wonder how many copies survived as well. I guess it will take years to complete a full set from these early years. Thanks again for your reply."

"In the early years, the NGS would publish membership numbers, and would make a report to the society indicating publication status. These reports were most often provided in the preamble of the first issue in the succeeding year - but sometimes in…"

"I am a new collector of the Nat Geo magazine and have wondered the same thing. My question, Can the magazines be tested under the black light theory. Pre-war paper did not have white pigment added to it yet. I believe any reprint should illuminate…"

"You never really know. The guy could have been offended that I requested him to package well. He then takes the box and drops it from his balcony several times, leaves it out in the weather until USPS picks it up next day. Ya never know. Football is…"

"I got them cheap. I messaged the guy prior to purchasing. He assured me that he could package well. My mail guy asked if I wanted to reject the package due to damage. Not worth it. Then you gotta go through Ebay resolution and minus shipping cost…"

"I also concur that this magazine in the picture (9.2)cost me nothing. I spent $32. I could probably sell it for a $100 or $200. I don't want to do that. But, had I kept it on the shelf and not sent it in, picked it up a few times, then it…"

About Me:
I grew up collecting coins and baseball cards. I have acquired a taste for quality; therefore, I have peaked an interest in collecting the Nat Geo books because the company has been running continuous for a very long time. There seems to be plenty to go around which make collecting still fun and not so much about money like the other hobbies.
Favorite National Geographic publication:
1969 Apollo 11
Favorite travel destination:
Texas

Beautiful! I have a copy sitting in the hands of CGC grading right now. They are backlogged and will probably take 6 months to get it back. Complete/with record.
