I think a trend is starting where members get one cover and over-the-counter magazines are another. I saw this cover at CVS which shows "Birth of Booze" as compared to the one I received which shows…Continue

Does anybody have a Feb. 1922 "Countries of the Caribbean" map supplement in decent condition they might want to sell at a reasonable price? I saw one on e-Bay, but it has hard folds and some tears. …Continue

"Interesting tidbit on Photogravures: A few years ago, "Les Nus de Drtikol", a folio of 30 photogravures by Frantizek Drtikol was sold at Christies for over $30,000.  We are getting ours much cheaper than that, I'd say. Tom"

"Harold, Most of the black-and-white pictures in the National Geographic are photographs.  Sometimes, however, they would include images using a technique known as photogravure. Photogravure  is an art form in and of itself. It is a…"

About Me:
Started collecting NGM in 1972. Remember seeing them in school in the 1940s during WWII. Have issues and supplements back to early 1900s. They had great maps and supplements for many years and then stopped - bad mistake! Now see they are starting again. Way overdue for new wall maps of the world, Europe, Asia, and Africa which have all seen boundary changes or new nations since last supplemented.
Favorite National Geographic publication:
National Geographic Magazine with map and/or picture supplements.
