Migration to Ning 3.0

Hello everyone,

  Just wanted to give everyone a heads-up that I gave Ning the go-ahead to work on migrating this site to 3.0. I'm not sure when the new site will be ready, but here are the steps they outlined:

1) Create website on the new platform.

2) Then we (meaning Ning) copy all the content

3) Set up a similar design and layout.

4) Activate paid plan with a 14-days free trial.

5) During the trial you(you, meaning all of you members out there) can check websites, make sure everything is migrated properly

6) We cancel your old website, credit for unused time, switch URLs so your members will get to the new websites now where they just need to log in with the same credentials.

I'll post another message as soon as I hear more from Ning.

Thank-you Cathy, for this information. I hope all goes well . . . I am gratified to see that the intention and plan is to copy & migrate our existing content over to 3.0 (fingers crossed that it works!).

I'm certain, one way or another, it'll work out - change always comes with difficulties, especially to us old farts.
