National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

Is it possible to create a prompt (or required listing) for those in buy/sell/trade to indicate location, and to invite a further description than "large collection." There are things I might be interested in, but ignore because so little detail and end up with 1970-1975 poor condition response after I have wasted the time to inquire. Hence, unless it sounds really probable that something worth an email about, I (and apparently most others) simply never bother responding to most buy/sell/trade posts.

Secondly, and my glitch may already have come to your attention in responding to the One Hundred Best Special Issues forum discussion. Both the typed response I made, and the upload of a list without footnotes or other codes so far as I was aware, disappeared when I tried to enter it. Is it retrievable, and postable if you think worthwhile? What was the reason it failed to post, so I wont repeat in any other later discussion.

If what I tried to post is lost, I have separately emailed the two collectors who were looking for the list, so they have the information they solicited in addition to the pdf somebody else managed to upload

Finally, why is there no "Contact the System Administrator" link (so far as I looked) for Collectors' Corner. Is starting a discussion the best route to you?

Thanks
Paul Crist
