My father pulled out his childhood collection or I should say his mothers collection of Nat Geo 1920 - 1932. Soome are complete years some are in bad shape. Most are in good to very good condition. He plans on using it for kindling fire at the beach. I `m looking for a buyer who would be intrested in purchasing the lot. Not looking to for full value just some extra cash to justify these things not going up in flame.
anyone intrested please feel free to email me at polopsu@comcast.net

Hello Michael,
Alas! An interesting insight into the printing production of NGM's back then (including your 1920-1932's), is that they printed as clay-coated pages. These do NOT burn well, if at all. You would get a strange smoke and smell, and the magazine issues would still be somewhat intact after your fire. You might incinerate them pretty well if thrown into an already-raging bonfire....but to use them as starter material, they will not work well.
