I just happened to find three more "Afghan Girl" artworks for sale on eBay.

The first is an Acrylic and the last two are Oils.

Hmm interesting to ponder that near 40 years after that cover story, this image is still such a "thing". I personally always thought it was/is over-rated, and is NOT Nat Geo's crowning photographic (or otherwise) achievement.

A few points...

Your item has been reposted at a lower price.

I added the 3 to my discussion and with yours made a new section for art.

While I agree the cover is overrated, it and the Dec. '69 moon landing are by far the most popular here at the 'Corner.
