Selling old NG magz 1940-s 1970-s or NOT??

Hello  I have a son turning 13 who has been collecting national geographic magazines.  He has a whole bunch from the late 40's through 70's Now his interests have changed. He wants pets (hermit crab, lizard).

1.  Should I let him sell them? 2.  How?  If he wants to sell them how do we do it?

He has some really cool ones like the first space missions etc.

Any advice would be helpful.  He has been a yard sale junkie since he could talk!  Started collecting them because they 'looked cool'.

Keep them for him - he will appreciate them 'some day'.  I'm collecting NGs for my 7 year old daughter.
