National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

This sculpture is basically a vertical stack of thirty years in a walnut monolith, it's my self portrait. I've lost my original collection but have to exhibit the piece on short notice. I'm looking to buy or possibly borrow 1983 to present so the sculpture can be shown at Vox Populi gallery in Philadelphia from July 3rd until the beginning of August. If any one has these issues or has any advice on how to possibly borrow them for the durration of the show, please contact me. I'll travel just about any distance on the east coast to make this happen.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

I would suggest you check Craigslist for the Philadelphia area.

Good luck,

John

I have 82-99 in leather cases and 2000-2012 not in leather cases. I live in SC but if you would pay for shipping would send them to you. Out of all those years there are only 4 issues missing. Let me know if interested. To reach me call 843-860-0074 . Arlene

I have 1984 (or 1986) to the present - in leather cases - maybe a couple of issues missing. Am located in Richmond VA - let me know if I can help!

Hi Debby,

I've found some more issues stored in my studio and it turns out I only need 2000 through present. If you'd be willing to loan them out for a month I'd be happy to repay you with a small drawing, National Geographic themed of course.

Best,

Chris Mahonski

Chris - I am very willing to loan out the magazines, but to be honest I don't really need them back!  Do you need from 2000 up to the current month?  We are in Richmond, VA but my husband will actually be up in the northern Virginia area this weekend and could meet sunday morning - (although he has to leave Northern Virginia by 11:00AM) - so if this helps just let me know.  And it would be an honor to receive a small drawing!

Sincerely - Debby Hansen

Hey Debby,

Sunday morning is perfect. I live in Church Hill, where are you? Feel free to get in touch by emailing me at ckmahonski@gmail.com, or call 570-337-4929. I am so happy to be getting these NG's.

Thanks,

Chris
