National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

Hello

I wrote before on pages needed

I have a bound copy July thru Dec.1912 that needs to go to the book binders very badly.

Anyway the last page of the October 1912  I thought was gone,  but a couple people on ebay told me theirs ended like mine.  Could a couple of collectors please let me know I would feel so much better if you confirmed this for me.

The last page I have is 1040 with a picture of an Interior of a very lavishly decorated temple at Lung-Men

Then the next page is the Nov.1912 issue which the page number is 1043,  with 1 page gone which is pages 1041-1042.

Thanks so much

Ed

Ed,

There are no pages missing, you've stumbled onto one of those little known anomalies of the NG magazine.

The complete original loose issues  of October and November with ads are numbered, just as your bound volume, with page 1041/1042 absent without leave (AWOL).

Still, it's a nice catch to observe something so minute in the entire volume - GOOD JOB!

Ed,

I have a one volume bound for the entire year 1912 . The last page for October is page1040 and the very next page is  for November and is page 1043.. Nothing is missing in your volume....
