"I have a one volume bound for the entire year 1912 that also has the last page for October as 1040 and the very next page is 1043.. Like Mel said nothing is missing...

There are no pages missing, you've stumbled onto one of those little known anomalies of the NG magazine.
The complete original loose issues of October and November with ads are numbered, just as your bound volume, with page 1041/1042…"
