Hello,
I understand that Ron Choquette was an active member of this group. I am sad to say that he has recently passed and we will be liquidating his collection. I thought that it would be best to start here because he talked fondly of the members of this group.
I have not been able to take a full inventory yet, but will be doing so by the end of the month. He does have some curious pieces. He was very interested in rare finds. One example is a framed print of the Torii gate (discussed here: http://ngscollectors.ning.com/forum/topics/torii-gate?overrideMobil...) .
I am interested in hearing what people are looking for so I can keep an eye out for them as I am taking inventory.
Thanks in advance,
Robert Choquette

So sorry to hear about Ron. He was an active member of the 'Corner and will be missed. As to my interests in collecting, they mainly involve Article Reprints and Map Indices.
Tom Wilson
Thanks George, I will pay close attention for these. I know that he some in the collection.
Cheers,
Rob
Hi Tom,
I found a lot of article reprints. It'll take some time to sort through them. Anything in particular that I should be looking for? Also, I am not an expert on Map Indicies, could you please send me some more information and maybe even a picture of what type of thing you are looking for?
My email is rchoquette@shaw.ca
Cheers,
Rob
Hi Rob,
Unfortunately, my email was hacked and now it doesn't work. I can send emails, but I am receiving nothing. Once it's fixed, I'll send my address.
My main concern are the map indexes, so let me give you a LINK to an article I wrote about map indexes. It contains a link to my album of map index covers, so you can see what I'm talking about.
Thanks for everything,
Tom Wilson
Hi Tom,
I saw some of those indicies in the collection as I was moving things around. Also, a truckload of maps as well.
I'll see what information I can come up with for you.
Cheers,
Rob
Hello Robert,
Sorry to hear of Ron's passing. He and I became close friends (from a distance) over the last several years. I always enjoyed our conversations. I knew he had not been well for a while.
My one interest in items from his collection would be anything related to the stratosphere balloon flights of 1934 and 1935.
Condolences to your family.
Charlie Gannon
Thanks Charles. I remember your name from my conversations with him about collecting.
There are definitely some items related to the balloon flights. I'll catalogue the items then circle back with you in a few weeks (we are heading out to his house next week).
Cheers,
Rob
Thanks, Rob.
My email address is charelesegannon@gmail.com
Hi Charles, I sent an email to your gmail account.
Cheers,
Rob
Rob - I did not receive the email. Perhaps you missed the "e" between Charles & Gannon...

Thanks,
Charlie
Yep, that was it. I just resent it.
Cheers,
Rob
