National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

My daddy recently passed away and has left behind a large collection of National Geographics.  The dates seem to range from approximately 1914 through 2010's.  There are 7 or 8 boxes and are free to anyone who can pick them up in the Granada Hills, California area.  I don't want to throw them away but my mom does not wish to keep them.  Thank you to anyone who is interested.

Sarah I would be very careful in giving them away especially if they are from the 50s . I am trying to price this magazine from the 50s editions and on many sites they are asking for huge amounts for a magazine. Could be worth a lot of money for ya.
1914 ? Don’t give them away. Sell them.

Hello Sean.  Thank you so much for your recommendation and for looking out for me.  I'm giving them away in hopes that someone will want the entire collection.  My dad didn't want them to be sold but wanted them to go to someone who would enjoy and appreciate them as he did :)

You can also try heartforethiopia.org

They are a major ebay seller of NG's and for a good cause.

They may only pay postage and whilst the collection is likely to be broken up, you know they are going to collectors who will treasure them.

George, great suggestion!

Also, funds received by HeartForEthiopia go to charities to help feed and clothe people. I've made numerous (Nat Geo) purchases from this lady over the years.

Scott

Thank you so much Scott and George for the suggestion!  I will be reaching out today.  Thank you!!
