Seller said it was not a reprint but it looks like a 1922 reprint with vertical lines to me. Am I missing something?
The same seller also had a Vol 1 No 4 that went for 224.50

I sent a private message to the seller explaining to him he was incorrectly listing a 1922 Reprint as an original. I cited price points for both an original and a 1922 reprint for both of the issues you listed above.
I did not receive a reply.
As I did once before, I tried to notify eBay of the fraud. Again - no reply!
It is truly, buyer beware!
Some inexperienced buyer just paid 10 times the value of an issue fraudulently claimed to be an original.
FYI - You'll find another example of this kind of activity in this report - until now, the most expensive fraud on a Vol I, No. 2. At least this time, the second issue did not go for as much:

(Look near the end of the article under "REPRINT SALES" and you'll find the paragraph noting the fraudulent sales.)

Wow !
Are the 1922 reprints the same dimensions as the original magazines?
Yes
Thanks for the info!
Now it's listed as an 1889 National Geographic.
