Create Your Own National Geographic Cover
The National Geographic Society has a neat app on their website that allows people to build their own NGM Covers:

Using one of my photos from last year's "Journey Across America", I threw this together in just a few minutes:

I'll second that!
Funny. This does seem to be a "Selfie" app.
Hi Tom, So this app is just for fun? What I mean is, it's not to propose a cover to National Geographic? Would you know if there is an avenue for doing that? Thank you and kind regards, Norma
Norma,
That is my understanding. The photo to cover part is very good, with sizing and positioning, and also contrast and brightness adjustment options. But you are locked into their limited, canned text options. If you could write your own text and font, size and position it; then it would be what you want. Alas, it's only a selfie app.
BTW: Your cover with your mom's painting is beautiful you should post it as a photo here at the 'Corner, not just on this old discussion.
Tom
Thank you so much Tom. I put it under my photos. I'm not sure if anyone will see it there or not but I hope so!! It looks like it might go through on a slide show on the main page. Have a nice evening. Norma
It's a pic of a 4' x 6' oil painting by my mother, Alicia Sancho Scherich! If you search YouTube for her name you can view a video of her work. This is not the only one I can imagine as a National Geographic cover. This one is titled "Sunset on Wildlife".
