Hi Kristen,
Please email me about your set for sale at john@mcwc1.com. I live in Carlisle, PA.
Thanks,

I have a complete set from 1888! That is the description.
Kristen,
Are they bound or single issues or a mixture?
Are they reprint or original or a mixture? Do you know how to tell a reprint from an original? There are a lot of people that don't know the difference, and we don't know anything about your experience with the NG magazine.
What are the conditions (damaged to mint, and a whole range of possibilities in between) of "each" of the individual issues and/or bound volumes (this helps determine the ultimate value)? However, until your experience level can be determined, your assessment of condition will most likely be under scrutiny.
Are "all" the original supplements included with the issue they were published (this helps assess the value of some of the more expensive single issues, i.e. with or without supplement)?
Are the indexes included with the "complete set," (after 1909 they were issued only as loose supplements)?
Are there any other "ephemera" included with this "complete set?"
Even hard core collectors don't entirely agree what comprises a complete set.
Hopefully you realize there are a lot of "details" involved with a "complete set" that should be established before any real value can be associated with your "complete set."
Pictures go a long way!
Regards,
Mel
Hello Mel,
This collection is bound, original issues, in mint condition and include the original supplements. I certainly can understand the scrutiny involved with evaluating and placing an estimated value on these items. They belong to a librarian if this is a tell tale sign. I shall try to get photo's and possibly send them along to you. The previous reference that you provided gave much insight as to how to go about proper handling and disposal of them. Thank you very much for your help and input.
Sincerely,
Kristen Jones
Kristen,
Thank you for your reply.
I am in the hunt for only two bound volumes so I am most likely not one of your potential buyers for your entire collection.
Feel free to ask me any questions you might have with regard to the assessment.
In the meantime, you might wish to contact several of the dealers listed in the dealers directory in the upper left corner of the main page of this forum just to jump start this conversation.
Your complete set should get their attention.
Mel
Kristen, please email me any more information you have about the set, especially pictures .
