Looking for a particular ng magazine dated between 1971 to 1980 which has details of endangered species

I am looking for a particular magazine published between 1971 and 1980. This has a chart of extinct and endagered species with details of evolution. I had this issue and some one borrowed and never returned it. Unfortunately I dont remember the exact year and month of this issue. Please let me know if some one has this and also the cost of the same.Thanks.My email id is sumantbarde@yahoo.com

So, do any of these seem familiar to you? Also, it could help if you recall what was on the cover of this important issue to you?

Anyway, hope this helps a little. {I got this information in the 1888-1988 NGS index, under the headings of "extinction", "endangered", "paleontology", and "evolution".

Thanks a lot Scott. The cover had a Chimpanzee or Gorilla photo. Do not remember exactly since lost the issue some 10 years ago......... The chances are it is January 1976 issue that you have mentioned above. Please let me know the cost of the same.
I have the Jan 76 issue. It has a picture of a chimp. I live in Canada, let me know if you're still interested. Make me an offer.
Well,

the September 1988 issue has a few fold-out pages which shows all the covers up to that point....as a part of the NGS Centennial that year.

- January 1970 has Dian Fossey on the cover, w/ a Gorilla,

- October 1978 features KOKO the gorilla,

- October 1975's cover story is Orangutans, with resercher Birute Galdikas-Brindamour,

- August 1978 is Dinosaurs on cover,

- January 1976 has a Harp Seal on cover,

- March 1976's cover is Humpback Whales (endangered),

- December 1965 has Jane Goodall on cover w/ Chimpanzees.

I am trying to help you narrow this down! But alas, I do not have any of these issues anymore as extras - they got ruined when my basement got water leakage.

But, you'll still be able to locate the one you are looking for!
