Not sure what to do with these. Are they worth anything to someone or should I recycle.

Condition matters: worn, tears, folds, missing pieces - most likely not worth the effort.
Supplements included, especially the Dec '69 with the record, "Sounds of the Space Age" still attached/included - a little more worthy.
If the magazines are pristine (since six to eight million per issue were published) they might bring a few dollars.
Advice: search eBay for National Geographic Magazine and take a look at their condition and going prices (you can narrow the search for each year and/or month). It might be fun trying to sell them there (or maybe not).
