I am interested in any covers/envelopes or ephemera related to the 1934-1935 Stratosphere Balloon flights from the Black Hills of South Dakota. I'd be interested in hearing of any members that might have such items for sale, particularly any flown on the Explorer I (postmarked Omaha, Nebr) and Explorer II flights.

Yes, I do have some items you might be interested in, specifically the Explorer II, 1935 technical papers and a bookmark made from the balloon's skin. Feel free to call me at (702) 242-5362
Regards, Jim
Thanks for your response. I have a couple of the Explorer II bookmarks already, so really don't need another. And, while the technical paper looks interesting, it really isn't the type of thing I am looking to add to my collection. I am more interested in the "postal" side of things (cacheted envelopes, flown mail, the contents of those letters, etc.). I would be interested in the bookmark if it were accompanied by the original NG letter and mailing envelope.
My bookmark is loose by itself. Best wishes to you in your hunt for NGS collectables. Jim
