National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

I have about six hundred Magazines dating from the 1960's to present. I don't want to throw them out but it is time to do something with them other than collecting them. If anyone is interested please contact me. Thanks

How many Sept 1990 NG magazines do you have?
I will only have one of each month from the 60's to present. Do you need this one to complete a set?
I need 3 or more Sept 1990 NG magazines to be mailed directly to a freind in Colorado. It is economical to mail at least 3 at a time, minimum.
Stephen,
Do you live in Fort Smith and are you just going to throw the magazines away?
Ron
I will throw them away if I can not find a home for them.
Is it possible to have some of these past issues as I have routinely donated mine to the local community high school in my town. The students are quite captivated and enthused by the articles in some of these issues and are thirsty for more. I know cost of sending these to Nigeria will be a factor. Kindly reply.

Stephen,
Where do you live? Rather than you throwing the NG magazines away, have you considered giving them to a local public liibrary or school library? Our local libraries accept them and put them out for the public to take, free of charge. Some libraries will sell them for 10 cents or 25 cents as a means of raising money during their book sales. The NG magazines are snapped up by the public very quickly that way are are put to good use.
You could also get a tax deduction that way. The IRS will accept $1.00 per issue as tax deductible value. I hate to see them not reused since they are such a valuable information and pleasure source.
I wish you well.
Ron,
in Fort Smith, Arkansas
