Hello All,
It is interesting when you think you know a reasonable amount about NGM's and then you run across something new. What can anyone tell me about the NGM specimens in miniature issue from 1919?
It states volume XXXV and number one on the top. On the front cover are the words "specimens in miniature of what it has given in the past and will bring in the future."

Volume 35, #1 doesn't seem correct. I'd be glad to research for you but need more information.
It's currently on Ebay:

Buxbaum did not list any 1919 promotional brochures, but Roger Nathan did list this brochure on page 144 of his "Collectibles of the National Geographic Society." He described its cover as you show it, and as it is listed on eBay, as Vol 35, #1.
As I do not collect these I don't have a feel as to its actual value to collectors. I would think its listing price as being more than reasonable.
Good Luck!
