I have a bound volume of 1899 with incredible huge folded maps….value?

National Geographic reprinted all of the early issues from 1888-1907 (both as separate issues and in bound volumes) in 1964. Although the reproductions are very well-done, the word "Reprint" can be found near the bottom of the cover of each issue. (Reprint volumes include all ads and covers; original bound volumes might not.)
Individual bound volumes of the reprints go on eBay from about $50 to $100, or sometimes more. If it's not a reprint, it would most likely go for quite a bit more.
I cannot find reprint ANYWHERE, there are no ads or covers. Very old maps ….
Sounds like an original.
If your maps do NOT have the small word in all caps (REPRINT) anywhere in the margin or under the index, you have an original map, and most likely the bound volume is too, but I'd have to see it to be certain.
