I am seriously interested.  Do you have any idea of price? I can be emailed at deballen@windstream.net.  Also, what is your location so i can estimate how much shipping would be.  I am in Georgia. Thanks, Deb

Hello Deb; I live in Orlando Fl. I am not sure yet as of the value of the entire set. I am having an appraisal done. as the value is reported to be between 35,000 to 85,000 dollars. if this is within what you were expecting, let me know and I will help you with any other information regarding this set. Thank you for your understanding

Hi Sheri,

I'm failry new to collecting NG mags. I'm just curious as to what makes the set valued so high. I know the magazines can be worth a lot but I've never heard it be that much. I'm wondering if I am undervaluing the set I have.

Thank you

A couple of years ago, I was aware of a complete bound collection from 1888 to 1907 in fine condition, all bound in fine leather inclusive of all supplements. It was for sale for $35,000. Given that the collection here has a reprint of Volume 1, the volumes from 1889 to 1907 it would therefore be worth less than this, probably $27,000 to $30,000. The collection of bound volumes from 1908 to 1989 would be worth somehwere  between $3,000 to $6000, depending on condition. That said, if all the 1889-1989 volume were well bound in a similar style, the collection as a whole would be worth more than the combined values I estimated above.

I note that a very beautiful collection of quarter or half-bound leather National Geographics from 1888 to 1995 is currently for sale on eBay with a reserve above $150,000.

It is also worth noting that a complete collection of individual magazines would be worth considerably more than a complete bound collection (subject to condition).

this set is all hardbound and includes all the maps and records.
