Some Pics from Artemis II
Earth at Night
Long exposure showing the earth at night. The sun is behind the planet. Corona is sticking out to the lower right. The brown area is the Sahara. You can see the Mediterranean and southern Europe next to it. The edge of the earth is the real star of the photo. Starting clockwise from the top you can see the Aurora Australus (greenish), the overexposed sunshine near where the corona is showing (that's Venus by the way), the Aurora Borealis, and then around near the top, the faintest hint of our fragile atmosphere.
Mare Orientale
This huge impact structure on the limb between the moon's near side and far side was a major target of study on this mission.
This is the image that will forever be compared to Apollo 8's "Earthrise." Because of flight geometry, the earth set over the sunlit limb of the moon but rose over the night side of the moon.
Earthset II
A closer look at the setting earth.
Earthrise
While interesting in itself, the earth rising over a dark moon, just doesn't come close to the above two images.
Eclipse
The eclipse of the sun by the moon. The outer corona can be seen all around the moon. The crescent, dimly lit part of the moon on the left side of the image is the near side of the moon lit by earthshine. This goes to show that the far side of the moon really is, at least at night, the dark side of the moon.
