National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

I am here to update this page. Unfortunately, on Dec 3, 2023, TAPS was played as MSG Joseph F Billone was released of his final post and duties of the US Army. His legacy of National Geo mags and maps still sit here today in plastic storage bins. My dad spent his life preserving these from the first to this past month's editions some in triplicate. It will kill my sisters and me to throw these away. Most are in acceptable condition. Please can someone find a home for them? My contact number is 631-355-3376.located on Long Island NY

I have a checklist that goes up to 2017 and there are 497 maps, supplements and pictorials listed. So one large box should be sufficient. Did your dad collect multiple copies? Maybe those boxes have something else in them?

I'm in Rockville, Maryland and my wife and daughter will be visiting NYC later this year. Maybe...

when I say i have boxes I mean boxes of maps. again I have no idea what is in them. All I know is there are many many maps

Without knowing what's in the boxes, it's difficult to know what they are worth.  My wife and daughter are coming to see a Broadway show in October. Could you take a look at what's inside the boxes? I'm missing a lot between 1914 and 1965.

Keith,

I too have a collection of the maps and supplements.  I would so love your checklist if you are willing to share so I can catalog my late father's collection.

I still have boxes and boxes of maps. I am going to start disposing of them and of March 2025. I do not have an inventory list but if anyone wants them feel free to make me an offer. No offer will be disregarded. I want to be able to keep them out there and not have to throw my dad's life dream away. There are probably a dozen boxes the size of Tomato boxes. 3' long 1' wide 1' high? I would suggest picking them up. I also have a list of the originals and reprints of the mags. I was able to finally find them. It seems he actually gave a few away without us realizing. 631 355-3376
