An Interesting Set of Foreign Article Reprints.
The cover article from the May 2000 National Geographic is entitled "In Search of Vikings".

This article generated interest in Scandinavia. No less than four article reprints were created for the region. One each for Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Suomi (Finland). This information, and the following photos, are courtesy of Jeff Persons.

Technically these were special supplements sent to all subscribers of the Nordic editions. Historically, article reprints were not distributed to all subscribers. These supplements contained articles not in the magazine.
The translation is, starting after the language name and continuing down to the red border is:

Sorry for the delay in responding, Richard, and Happy New Year.
So as I understand it, this item was a compilation of articles much like the Selections from National Geographic from 2003 and 2004. It uses the cover image from the May 2000 issue. It was published September 2000 in Denmark, Sweden, and (probably) Norway; and January 2001 in Finland.
Do you know if this item was a supplement accompanying the September (or January) issue, or was it sent out as a separate item?
Was the "In Search of Vikings" cover article included as one of the articles in this compilation?
Were the other three articles in this compilation originally from older National Geographic magazines, or are they unique to this item?
