"You never really know. The guy could have been offended that I requested him to package well. He then takes the box and drops it from his balcony several times, leaves it out in the weather until USPS picks it up next day. Ya never know. Football is…"

"I got them cheap. I messaged the guy prior to purchasing. He assured me that he could package well. My mail guy asked if I wanted to reject the package due to damage. Not worth it. Then you gotta go through Ebay resolution and minus shipping cost…"

USPS shipping. HANDLE WITH CARE!! It looks like Michael Jordan did a slam dunk from freethrow line with my package.....not to mention, it was left out in the rain. All magazines had bends and damage from water stain..Life goes on lol.…See More

"I also concur that this magazine in the picture (9.2)cost me nothing. I spent $32. I could probably sell it for a $100 or $200. I don't want to do that. But, had I kept it on the shelf and not sent it in, picked it up a few times, then it…"

"That is the beauty of it. I can obtain a copy for nearly free, second hand to read and not worry about destroying it. The fact that there is such an abundance of them, I want to have a nice collection to preserve. I am not doing this for profit.…"

"It is only good if you want to profiteer from them in the future (highly unlikely, since it is not valuable at all). Otherwise it's a waste. Can't even look at the magazine and leaf thru them."

Nat Geo is on CGC radar!

I like CGC first and foremost, the protection of my magazine; Also, It does not leave me guessing the condition of my magazine. Secondly, there is a census report that tells us the most popular submitted National Geographic magazine along with highest obtained grade. Thinking about submitting to CGC? There is a backlog over 180 business days with a fee of $32-$40 depending on year. Is it worth it? I like engineering sets. CGC enables me to build a set from a year that I particularly like and…See More

"Man, I love this club. thank you for yours wealth of information, Tom. This copy appears like many of the others..stapled spine, articles, advertisement on reverse cover, etc...feels genuinely authentic. It is removable from the cover. Thanks again."

About Me:
I grew up collecting coins and baseball cards. I have acquired a taste for quality; therefore, I have peaked an interest in collecting the Nat Geo books because the company has been running continuous for a very long time. There seems to be plenty to go around which make collecting still fun and not so much about money like the other hobbies.
Favorite National Geographic publication:
1969 Apollo 11

Beautiful! I have a copy sitting in the hands of CGC grading right now. They are backlogged and will probably take 6 months to get it back. Complete/with record.
