I had that coming up as something I was going to post, ha-ha.

Scott, just give me the word and I'll take this one down.

PS: If you have the time, could you take a look at page 12 of your copy, to see if there's an error in the caption under the image, where it says: "Dissent against the Stamp Act of 1965 marked the beginning ..." (should be 1765).

No of course you need not take it down , it is something you wanted to share!
(I will still post it with other stuff in my special 250th album however).
Yes, that's an unfortunate "typo" -- something you NEVER saw in Nat Geo publications when they had ample staff to proofread and fact-check every single line item and piece of information.

Reg Murphy beginning in 1997 and John Fahey slowly thereafter chipped away at the robust in-house apparatus of quality-control and information veracity as something silly & unnecessary.
And that was before Fox + Disney budget cuts entered the picture.
It struck me how many errors had to be retracted or clarified in NGM itself during the Chris Johns era; whereas during the 1967-1979 Ted Vosburgh era he scrapped some 30,000 copies of NGM due to discovery of a semi-colon misplacement!

Times change. Vosburgh said NGM and Society's greatest strength and asset was their accuracy and if they ever lost that - game over.

Thanx, Scott ...
Unfortunately I've noticed similar trends all over (as a bookworm, I sometimes came across books that have obviously not even been glanced by a proofreader).
