Wow... First large map supplement since September 2012
It's about time, Phil. Maybe that large infusion of money from 21st Century Fox had something to do with it. More likely it was recent the change in leadership.
I am so happy about this. Maps were always such an important part of the magazine. I felt the Society had lost it's way without them.
Nice to see one again!? But I notice that the red text on the NGM spine for this bears no relationship to the map title, locale, or whatnot.
I noted that too, Scott. But I didn't comment on it.
from the credits details on this supplement:
"This map is funded in part by The Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation and the Bio Program at the Inter-American Development Bank."
**dunno if this has anything to do w/ the sudden appearance of a real supplement. I'm not getting excited that this will be a recurring thing, though. I hope I'm wrong...
