I know that several of the maps came in different sizes, but where they also folded differently? Case in point is June 1947. I have one that is folded differently than the other two I have. All of these where in a magazine when I acquired them.
Thanks for the interesting find.
A quick search on eBay shows 14 photographs of these maps. Five are folded "New Style", the other nine have "Original" folds.
Must have changed the folding method during the print run.
Change method of folding during "different print runs" is entirely possible (not documented by the greats, i.e. Buxbaum and Nathan).
There is also the possibility that "store sales" for those offered at the HQ required a different fold; don't know if this was ever offered in such a venue.
Then there are the maps included with the Map Indexes, of which June 1947 was one, that may have required a different fold.
