- About Me:
- I'm a collector of antiques and old books, including National Geographic.
While I like to consider my National Geographic set impressive, I'm sure many collectors on this site surpass mine. I have most of the series from the 1950's through today, a couple issues missing here and there, and several issues from as early as 1917. All are originals and no reprints.
Also in my collection is the entire Tom Swift Sr. collection, Classics of Literature including an early Tom Sawyer, 1812 Illiad and Odyssey, Civil War books printed just after it, 1911 Encyclopedia Britannica set, and several other pieces. I have original Maps from as old as the 1600's by famous cartographers, deeds to early America, coins from early civilization, as well as a chunk of coal from the Titanic.
I got into this stuff at a young age, and while I'm 18 now, I'm looking forward to collecting a lot more, as well as learn about National Geographic on this site.
