Sir Albert K.B.E. was knighted by H.M. Queen Elizabeth II in Rarotonga 1974. Sir Albert is photographed with Lady Henry wearing Cook Islands traditional ceremonial costume right after the KBE Knighthood.
Albert Henry was major figure in the independence movement in the Cook Islands and became the Cook Islands' first Premier in August 4th 1965. Albert was re-elected consistently in the election of 1968, 1972, 1974 and March 1978.
