Vol 1-8 1888-1896 Reprints

I am researching the value of these bound reprints of NG - Vol 1-8 years 1888-1896. They are bound in what I would call traditional library monograph/serial binding. As a retired librarian, they appear to be in pristine condition. From what I've read on this site, I believe they are possibly reprints from the 1960s, but I'm just not sure. I would appreciate guidance regarding a fair price.

I also have several individual issues in less than pristine condition that I would also like a value on.

vol. LII no. 6, December 1927

vol. LIII no. 6, June 1928

These were donated to my local library for our upcoming Friends of the Blue Ridge Library book sale and I would like to find a good home for these incredible issues plus help our group.

If you really want to make a sale on the individual issues - I'd offer them for $5 to $10 each with a bundled price no greater than $20.

For reference, a 1920's issue in Very Good Condition: Bindings may have cracks, but all material is present, small crease on the covers that remain moderately glossy, with a possible name written on the cover; all pages present and intact to include advertisements, and all issued supplements present = sells for about $15.

I've seen the reprint "volumes" sell for as little as $15 and as much as $150 each (both are rare auction bids). Generally, they individually sell between $45 and $65.

What you have is a 1964 National Geographic Society (NGS) issued "reprint set," Vol 1 through Vol 8.

In order to sell, I'd offer the set for $350, take no less than $200, realizing they're worth $400.
