National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

Hey all like many collectors over the years as I have improved the condition of my collection I have retained the extras (well at least the pre-1970 stuff).  I have many extra copies of National Geographic from the the mid-teens to the early 1990s (most are from the late 20s to the late 60s).  Additionally have about 600 extra maps/inserts primarily from the 1940s to the 1980s (the bulk in the 60s and 70s).  The condition ranges from excellent to I need a magazine to put in that place just to say I have one.  Looking to swap or sell with other collectors.  Additionally I have about 20 extra special collection series books from the 60s and 70s if anyone is working on that as well.  Please contact me with the month/year that you are looking and I will let you know if I have it and the condition.

Hey Michael,

Welcome aboard to some of the groups you joined earlier today. I saw this post from you on the 7th, but wasn't able to sit and get back to anything. I would have a preliminary interest in your Special (collection) Publication books, if any are what I lack. I have just over half of the 191+ Special Pubs. I was trying to re-focus my attention on these last spring and make a personal check-list off the main title inventory, but there's some discrepancies on NGS's official list, so I never quite got that reconciled, on some points.

If you have a list of the SP/C's titles you do have, feel free to send and I'll see. I am not picky that they be perfect, but at this point also, I do not want them to be too aged or "bruised" either.

I will take a look in the next couple of days and get back with you what caused the post was the loss of a bookshelf to the weight of my national geographics. I know that most of my duplicates are from the 60s but I will get you the full list soon.
