National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

I stopped subscribing to NG after 2011 because I realized I simply wasn't reading them anymore, and they take up a significant amount of space in a house already overflowing with stuff. I would like to sell my entire collection just to make room! I collected on and off for about 20 years, and I have issues dating back to 1905. I do NOT want to 'part them out' as that would be a huge hassle. I will entertain all offers for the whole shebang, but you must pick them up in Las Vegas, NV. I would also consider selling in a few major groups, like several decades at once.

I have a graph/chart showing which issues I have as well as which supplements (also dating back to 1905), that I can send to anyone that requests it. General condition is noted where it is less than good. Total number of issues is about 1160; about 80% of 1905-1941 (biggest gaps in the 1930s), and 100% of 1942-2011.

Also included are official leatherette cases 1981-2011, with a few missing and a few extra. Also over a dozen official leatherette map cases. I also have a few extra issues 1950s to 1980s, a stack of six-month indexes (1930s if I remember correctly but I will have to check to confirm), a large bound map folio (late 50s to late 60s), and other incidentals like NG books that I don't really need. I can get a list together for those who are truly interested, but some are in storage so I would need to dig out a couple boxes for a full accounting. I will of course be much more exact with serious inquiries, but I didn't want to dump it all into this post if no one is even interested! I thought sending out my chart of issues/supplements on request would be a good starting point.

Contact me if interested, please!

Mike, were you ever able to make any progress on this ?

Nope, no takers! The collection remains on my bookshelves as my house gets ever more full!
