The National Geographic Magazine was mentioned in the British TV series "Father Brown" in season 3 episode 8 entitled "Lair of the Libertines." About 39 minutes into the show Father Brown identified the murderess by remembering an article in the Magazine.

Richard,
I had already cited this episode in Part 3 of my series "The National Geographic as a Cultural Fixture":

Here is a snippet from the discussion:

In season 3, episode 8 of "Father Brown" entitled "The Lair of the Libertines" which aired January 14, 2015 there is this revelation:
"Big game hunter? Ah, but that's a man's sport."
"I remember reading some time ago in the National Geographic Magazine about a white woman killing things in Africa. What was her name? Madam Chania... is an anagram, of Ana Demiachia, the Italian huntress who shot almost every living creature on earth."

Tom,
I watched the episode again and the dialogue is:
Father Brown: "Big game hunter?"
Madam Chania: "Ah, but that's a man's sport Father."
Father Brown: "I remember reading some time ago in the National Geographic Magazine about a white woman killing things in Africa. What was her name? Madam Chania... is an anagram, of Ana Demiachia, the Italian huntress who shot almost every living creature on earth."

Fixed it, Richard. Thanks.
