NGM mailer poster - 'Be One of Us'

Hi everyone, 

It was recommended by an National Geographic archivist in D.C. to ask the CC community about a poster I am in search of. 

  • The poster that was sent out to subscribers of NG in the late 80s or early 90s. The poster had the words "Be One of Us" beside an image of a NG photographer in the wild with their camera.  I attribute the magazine for helping to establish my early interests in photography and conservation, which I have gone onto pursue as a career.  This poster used to reside on my walls in my parents house as a teen, but is long gone.  I am hoping to find another copy. 

  • According to NG's sources, "the poster in question was part of a mailing offering a NGM subscription. Included in the mailing was a two-sided spread with one side having the picture with the caption 'Be One of Us."

  • Please share if you have information on the above mentioned NG memorabilia.
