New kid on the block

I am a NG afficianado for many years.  I am moving to smaller quarters next year and have no more room for my collection of magazines, which is continuous from 1943 to present, plus some 1930s.  I would like them to go to a good home.

As a personal aside, when I went to Penn State in 1952 I was friends with a young woman (since married to a friend and now deceased) whose father was a famous NG photographer in the 30s and 40s I believe.  The name was Moore.  Does anyone have any more details on him?

The 1888-1946 National Geographic cumulative index lists W. Robert Moore as authoring 57 different articles for the magazine in the 1930s and 1940s.  He is also credited with the photography.  I belief this is who you are referring to in this discussion.  I hope this was of some help.

Thanks George.  his daugher married a close friend of mine, in fact i introducted them and they were married for some 60 years!
