Hopefully someone can help with my dilemma. I have a collection of National Geographic magazines from 1964 to 2013 all in National Geographic slipcovers. I also have some miscellaneous single issues back to the 50's in individual slipcovers. My collection is in excellent shape and the earlier ones show one wear.
I have the idea of dumping them in the garbage. I would love to get something for them but would also give them to someone rather than just throw them away.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. I am in Northern California.

Dear Roy,
Unfortunately, and as you could read from several earlier correspondences among other members (see the impressive and exhaustive http://ngscollectors.ning.com/forum/topics/a-guide-to-selling-natio... by Melvin L. De Vilbiss), the magazines from the 50's are not worth much. (I have a complete collection from 1914, but from the 1950's onward I have multiple copies.) The slipcovers however are of some value and I'd be interested in them but I don't have much idea of the shipping cost to Philly.
Best, Gabe
I can probably find out the shipping costs and let you know. The good thing is they do not weigh that much. Would you like all the slipcovers?
Roy
Yes, the slipcases are light; yes I could use all of them; I have a relabeler for the year.
Gabe
