National Geographic Maps 1937-1974
Hello, I’m looking for some advice please. We found a collection of 74 maps on sorting my mother-in-laws house out after she died mostly from 1937 to the 1950’s though there are also 12 from the 1970’s.

I’m really not sure whether they are worth anything or quite what to do with them. They are all in immaculate condition as they would have been when first bought.
Your advice would be most appreciated.

You can search eBay by year, here's 1937:

find your map supplements and see if you're willing to go the the trouble of individually list them, list them by year, or list them by decade.
The older and better quality the more likelihood they'll sell - but nothing is guaranteed in an auction. Perhaps do a hybrid: sell individually through the 40's; by year through the 60's; everything else in one lot.

Very nice job typing + formatting that list of your maps hand, Sue. It's always more helpful when people are looking for interested parties that they include some kind of inventory list and/or photo of what they are asking about!

Another option is heartforethopia.org.
Speak to Lauralee.
They are a major Seller on Ebay and for a good cause.
They would likely pay postage and possibly a nominal amount for the goods.
