National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

Hi, I have the white-tailed deer mount that is portrayed in George Shiras's book, Hunting Wildlife with Camera and Flashlight, page 206, volume 1.  It was shot in 1895 and the book published in 1935.  I doubt there is anything like this out there with this kind of documentation.  There is even some sentences in the book about the deer.  If anyone knows about a collector that may be interested in this please let me know.  I would like to see it on public display if possible so everyone could enjoy.

Thanks a lot,

Scott H.
