Collection - many of the rare early issues - up for sale soon

Hi, I am a collector and a dealer in paper ephemera. 35 years in the business. I have come into a very nice collection of National Geographics. It is comprised of ten (originals) of the early (pamphlet) issues including #1 (1888) and #3 (original state - not bound or ex-library). Repros in the collection are #2, and 4 (both the 1922 reprints) and Vol.s 2 (1890) 4 (1892-93) 5 (1893-94), and 6 (1894-96) bound 1964 reprints. It then picks up with Jan., 1896 with complete years in original binders (with the wires - original state, and removable) and is complete through 1980. Condition varies from good to excellent throughout. I have done some research on the collecting community, and dealers who specialize, but can't decide whether to try to sell them on Ebay, or try to sell to collectors directly. I can't put them in my shop as everyone would just want to handle them, and I can't have THAT. I CAN say that I would probably not be wanting to sell to another dealer, unless the price was awfully right. I am also (as a dealer) not looking to sell the early ones as a set, again, unless the price was right. That being said, I am NOT looking to get huge inflated dealer prices - I am wanting to SELL them, not sit on them. However, I know pretty much how scarce the early one's are, and am hoping to get a fair price.  So this is just a feeler, for what the market is and to let folks know what I have and see what the interest is. Please feel free to contact me directly via e-mail at: mail@lulastudios.com, Cheers, John Hanawalt
