Does anyone have an idea of what this is worth? How should I price it?

Cynthia,

The value of each issue based on E-Bay sales of Nat Geo's is:

1950's - $5.00

1960's - $2.00

1970's - $.50

1980's to the present have little or no value based on the upwards of 6 million copies issued each month.

I hope this info helps you sell your collection.

Best,

Phil

Thank You!

Hi Phil,

I just saw the info you posted here regarding the pricing and thank you for it.  I've never sold anything on Ebay before, so it's good to know the going prices.

Do you happen to know how well Nat Geo's sell on Ebay, specifically the 1950s & 1960s?  Is there just a glut of them and you are lucky to sell any?  I realize you may not know, but thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

Thanks a lot!
Christine

I don't know for sure as I haven't tried selling any yet. I did go to ebay and look and there seems to be quite a few for sale at various pricing!

Thanks, Cynthia.  That's exactly what I saw when I looked on Ebay.  I'm just wondering if it's worth the bother if there won't be much chance of selling any.
I just started a new discussion with my question, so maybe some more experienced people might know and will answer.

Cynthia... FYI, I just saw a very helpful answer to the post at this link:

The link in Mel's answer looks like it has a ton of useful info about selling on Ebay.

Laura,

I am sorry for your loss and am certain this must be a difficult task for you.

This may provide you some insight:

You may also wish to visit the "dealers directory" at the top left margin of the main page of this web site and ask their advice.

Generally speaking, it is very difficult to sell in bulk. It is much easier to sell those earlier than 1920, moderately easy for those older than 1950 and progressively more difficult newer than 1950. And, I'm sorry to say, selling NGM's is usually a lengthy and time-consuming prospect.

Good luck!

Mel
