1964 Reprints Question

Were 1964 reprints issued in brown leather binding? I have a chance to buy a nice run from 1888-1895, but I need to know if the chances are good of locating 1896-1900 with the same binding.

All the bound 1964 reprints have the same brown binding, 18 volumes spanning 20 years.
