Try getting in contact with any of the NE dealers as listed in the Dealer Directory at the top left margin of the main page. They will most assuredly offer you rock bottom prices (as they're in the business to make a small profit) but they might be willing to take most of your fathers collection off your hands.

It's a balancing act.
You'll probably obtain more for the most sought after issues - pre 1920's but it will be a long and hard trod and sales have been very sluggish these past two or three years.
All you can do is ask...
