help with value and info, for selling complete sets from 1915 - 1970

I bought complete sets of national geographic magazines from an estate auction, the years are from 1915 - 1970, every year of complete sets. And they have maps, index books everything, this guy was a millionaire, he had shelves made to store them all, most are in as new condition. I have no idea what they are worth of what to sell them for. I signed up here from a goggle search thinking I could get some help from someone. I do want to sell them, by year. So, could someone give me any info on what to sell them for or their value, or anything.? thanks a lot DJ

I glanced at your post again, and I see I did not reply in April (even though I "swore" I did ?). Haha, anyway, have you done anything yet or are you at square one still?

Again, it will be hard to give away bound volumes. If however, they are single issues in as good condition as you say, $500-$1000 is probably a reasonable expectation. While it would be nice to think that selling by year or other group run, you'ld maximize the return on the investment, really the better idea is to sell, as otherwise cherry issues or even years will go and you'll be stuck with library or goodwill for all the 1955 and after.

I will note that really, really pristine 1941-1946 may command as much as older issues even in as good condition
