National Geographic's Collectors Corner

Collaborative site for collectors, dealers, & anyone interested in our history.

I have all the issues from 1981 to current. Most are in excellent condition, a couple have slightly worn spines. I do have all the maps but they are in separate map cases. The entire collection except for a few individual issues are in the NG slipcase covers. Located on the Western Slope in Colorado, would make a really good deal (case of good beer or ? ) for the entire collection if you come pick it up here. I can take pictures, haven't gotten that far yet.

I am also cataloging our large collection of National Geographic books, most of which will also be available.

Wow, you DO have alot of the books! Heh heh.

For the cover prices, it is seldom that anyone would recover the original price paid. Which edition is the Atlas?

I have some interest in the "Builders of the Ancient World" if it's the one I think it is.....

What is the "Builder's" one? The 2-volume Book of Mammals, what year was this set?

- Scott
I know the cover prices are not realistic, it's convenient to use them for insurance purposes. This was the list from the inventory for insurance we just completed. I haven't finished the decision making on what I'm keeping vs what I'm selling.

The Atlas is 1981 I won't sell it until I replace it. The Builders is 1986. Not sure on the Mammals one, I can't reach it and need to go get a ladder, not likely to happen for a while, we've still got sheep lambing so my time to do other stuff is limited.

I'm most interested in getting the magazines gone, more so than the books.
