About Me:
I was first intruduced to the National Geographic magazine when I was a young lad and in 1970 obtained my first assortment of the magazines by way of , "I'm going to throw them away unless someone wants them" I jumped at the oppurtunity. I was then recomended, by a current member of the Society, (a requirement at that time) to become a member, and I have been one since. At present time I have accumulated over three thousand editions from which my personnal collection dates from 1914 to present, with only a dozen or so missing. I enjoyed browesing the thrift stores and used book stores for the missing editions, adding to my collection over the years but when they were coming far and few between, I had included the hard backs and that too has greatly expanded over time. I have no concept of where this will eventually that me, but I'm enjoying the ride.

Favorite National Geographic publication:
Just about every one holds my interest in one way or another. It's great to expand one knowledge about the world and its inhabinents.
Favorite travel destination:
I have been to many of the locations that have been published in the articales and benefited by having prior knowledge of these places thru the National Geographic. They are all my favorites.
