That my Dad in the brown traditional costumes welcoming the Queen.Im proud of him.I saw the video of the opening,thank you for this photo,I wish you had more....

Sorri but no Im not my Dad is Kaena Mataiapo at the tiem (Piniki Utia Snr).him and Ota Joseph both pass away.

I'm so sorry to hear that. So your one of the Mataiapo's. I didn't know that Ota had passed-on, thank you for tell me.

Regarding the Queens visit to Rarotonga, yeah what a great day it was! Lots of memories for me too. She looks so young when I look at my photo's of her, but the day she arrived in Raro - I said to myself  'my God, she looks old'. Isn't it funny how time changes our way of thinking.
